How does Tetanus Toxoid work?
This vaccine works by exposing your horse to a small dose of the bacteria which causes your horses body to develop immunity to the disease. This vaccine will not treat an active infection that has already developed in the body.

What are the side effects of Tetanus Toxoid?
Fever, general Ill feeling, redness, pain, or swelling where the shot was given
What special precautions are there?
Take special care to ensure the injection does not enter a blood vessel. Shake vial well before withdrawing dose. Discard if vaccine cannot be re-suspended.
What to do if overdose?
If overdose occurs please contact your vetirenarian immediately.
How can I store Tetanus Toxoid?
Store in the dark at 2° to 7°C (35° to 45°F). AVOID FREEZING

Transitory local reactions at the injection site may occur
Overview
- Inject one 1 mL dose intramuscularly using aseptic technique.
Administer a second 1 mL dose 4 to 8 weeks after the first dose.
Revaccinate annually using one 1 mL dose.
- Do not vaccinate within 21 days before slaughter
- In case of anaphylactoid reaction, administer epinephrine.
