Newborn mammals are born with no bacteria in their GI tract. The protection they need normally comes from their mother, but if the animal is being bottle-fed, administering a pro-biotic can help boost the growth of the bacteria in the GI tract they need. PetAg Bene-Bac Plus FOS & Probiotics Gel Supplement is a blend of seven microorganisms found in the intestinal tract of mammals. PetAg Bene-Bac Plus FOS & Probiotics Gel Supplement contains 20 million CFU per gram of viable lactic acid-producing bacteria. In addition to being beneficial to newborns, the gel can also help animals who are traveling, pregnant, or experiencing stress for other reasons.
