K-BroVet Potassium Bromide Oral Solution is a veterinarian prescribed medication for dogs that contains Potassium Bromide. It is intended to aid in the management of dogs experiencing epileptic seizures. K-BroVet is available in an Oral Solution that is butterscotch vanilla flavor and 250 mg/ml in 2 oz or 10 oz bottles. How can I store K-BroVet Potassium Bromide Oral Solution for Dogs?
Store in a dry and cool environment. (59-86°F).
Overview
Use as directed by your Veterinarian.
For a loading dose to achieve a serum level of approximately 1 mg/mL, give 120 mg/kg PO daily for 5 days and then reduce to 30 mg/kg PO once daily. To achieve a serum level of approximately 1.5 mg/mL, give 160 mg/kg PO for 5 days and then reduce to 40 mg/kg PO once daily thereafter.
