The most commonly reported adverse effects of Elura include vomiting, lack of appetite, hypersalivation, behavior changes, and lethargy.
What special precautions are there?
Elura is for use in cats only. It should not be used in cats with hypersensitivity to Capromorelin, Elura’s active ingredient. It should not be used in cats with hypersomatotropism. Elura may increase serum glucose for hours after it is administered. For this reason, use of Elura may not be appropriate in cats with diabetes mellitus. Vets should prescribe with caution to cats with severe dehydration, cardiac disease, or hepatic dysfunction. Note that Elura has not been evaluated for use in cats under 5 months of age or in breeding, lactating, or pregnant cats.
