How does Drontal Feline 1 tab work?
The active ingredients in Drontal are praziquantel, pyrantel pamoate and febantel. Praziquantel works by damaging the parasite's skin internally, so the parasite disintegrates and is removed by the pet's immune system. Pyrantel pamoate is active against hookworms and ascarids and acts as a blocking agent, causing paralysis. This results in the hookworm losing its grip in the intestinal wall and is removed from the pet’s system by natural process.

What are the side effects of Drontal Feline 1 tab?
Side effects are rare with Drontal. Some side effects may include loss of appetite, increased salivation, vomiting and diarrhea. Other side effects may also occur. Talk to your veterinarian about any side effect that seems unusual or bothersome to the animal.
What special precautions are there?
Drontal tablets are not for use in kittens less than one month old or weighing less than 1.5 pounds.
